The gospel of Jesus Christ is central to the Christian faith. The gospels offer hope and salvation for all mankind through Jesus and his death on the cross. All professing Christians believe that Jesus is the Messiah as foretold in the Old Testament Bible. A vast majority of Christians believe in the "Trinity" a description of God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
